Assam Recruitment Drive 2024: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma declares 35,000 vacancies across different departments

 

The Assam government has unveiled its largest recruitment drive to date, targeting the filling of around 35,000 positions across multiple departments by April 2025.

Jobs 2024: In a significant development for job seekers in Assam, the state government has announced its largest-ever recruitment drive, aiming to fill approximately 35,000 vacancies across various departments by April 2025. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the initiative today, July 9, on his official social media handle X (formerly known as Twitter).












Over 6,400 vacancies will be filled in the Assam Police, with physical tests beginning on 3rd October. Candidates applying for Grade III and Grade IV positions will take the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE), which includes three stages: preliminary exams, mains, and a final viva voce round. For Grade III positions, with over 7,500 posts available, preliminary exams will be held on September 15th, 22nd, and 29th. For Grade IV positions, with over 4,500 posts available, preliminary exams will be held on October 20th and 27th.

The education sector will also see significant growth, with plans to recruit more than 13,000 teachers for elementary and secondary schools. The government is expected to release specific details about this teacher recruitment drive soon.
